Frequently asked questions

  • Is there any relationship between selling electricity and indoor electricity consumption?

Independent electricity meter, not connected to indoor electricity.

  • Can it be built if there is no building on the land?

It can be built, but the rate of return on investment is not high, so usually a factory (warehouse) is added for rent.

  • Can the surface right holder apply?

No, you need all the property rights.

  • Can I apply for Aboriginal reservations?

It is very troublesome to apply for land, so we will not do it at this stage. But as long as the building is legal, it will be fine.

  • After installing solar panels on the roof, can I use iron sheets to surround it?

No, any part that is considered "illegal construction" must be demolished.

  • How to maintain and replace solar panels? Is there any charge?

    1. Our operator will arrange 2-3 months of cleaning, maintenance and replacement of required materials (such as damaged solar panels, wires, etc.) 2. No fees are required.

  • What should we do if Taipower removes the meter due to "illegal construction"?

All costs are borne by the homeowner, including the initial construction costs and the cost of dismantling the house.

  • The building was originally 4 stories high, but only 3 stories high after the handover. If solar panels are installed on the top floor, can they be surrounded by iron sheets?

Construction should be carried out according to the completion drawings, and any legal construction can be carried out.

  • What happens to the solar panels after the electricity sales contract expires? Do I need to pay for it?

    1. We will dismantle the waste and notify the Environmental Protection Bureau to collect it. 2. No fees are required.

  • Solar panels cause roof leaks

    1. The project will make a waterproof layer before planting the reinforcement. 2. Elevated solar canopy - effectively isolates raindrops. 3. If you have any doubts, you can sign a contract guarantee.

  • What kind of open space can be used for solar energy?

The land that can be used is construction land and industrial land.

  • Does a building need a building permit or a license to build? My building does not have these, but I have paid taxes.

Yes, you cannot build it without a building permit or operating permit because this is a government requirement.

  • My building is leased. What should I do if I stop renting it? Will I be in breach of contract?

To install solar energy equipment, the homeowner (owner) must sign and agree. If you don't rent it later, the rent will be borne by the homeowner and there will be no breach of contract. If possible, I can help you negotiate with the homeowner.

  • My building may need to be remodeled in the future, will this constitute a breach of contract?

Yes, there will be a breach of contract. It cannot be dismantled within 20 years after construction, and the compensation amount is stated in the lease contract.

  • My factory is rented and I would like to install solar energy, but the landlord won’t let me. What should I do?

In the future, all legal factories may be forced to build in accordance with the terms for large electricity users. The government will impose fines on those who do not cooperate. If the homeowner does not agree to build, will the homeowner be responsible for the fine?

  • Is this stuff toxic? Will my land be damaged in 20 years because of the solar panels?

Solar panels have been proven to not affect the land, and they are cleaned with water and electric mops, so they will not cause environmental pollution. For more information, you can search for "Solar panels are toxic" news on YOUTUBE and let the news video explain it.

  • Why can't I use the surplus electricity in my house and then sell it back to Taipower?

Because this equipment was invested and built by my company, we sell all our electricity to Taipower. Taipower buys 4.2 yuan per kWh from my company and sells it to the homeowner for 2 to 3 yuan. If you want to generate electricity for your own use, you must build it at your own expense.

  • This feedback doesn’t seem to be consistent with the benefits I provide for such a large factory.

Your company rented out the unused roof to us to build solar energy, so this rebate is originally "extra". Our company's 600 square meters of roof will cost more than 10 million yuan. Of course, we have to pay attention to the investment effect. If your company feels that the profit share is too low, you may consider the plan of self-construction.

  • Those are all government policies, and who knows what will change in the future.

Solar power generation is not only promoted by the Taiwan government, but also by European and American countries, Japan and South Korea. Even if the political parties change in the future, this is still a goal that the whole world must move forward. Apple has required downstream manufacturers to build green energy equipment in their factories, otherwise it will not give orders. If you don't believe it, you can search for "RE100" and related media on the Internet.

  • My building is illegal. Can you help me get a permit to make it legal?

We know a license application company that we can recommend to you, but whether the change will be successful will be evaluated by professionals and government agencies, and you must be responsible for the relevant expenses.

  • Investigate the issue of equipment damage, clarify whether it is natural disasters or man-made disasters, and if self-built projects also encounter these problems, how to deal with them in the future.

Equipment damage is determined by professional engineers and insurance companies, and is the same in all industries. Self-builders can sign a maintenance contract with us to ensure normal operation for 20 years.

  • Since the RC roof is old, is it okay not to hit the building body during construction?

Because our structure must withstand 17-level earthquakes and winds, it will be built on a reinforced concrete floor. But you can rest assured that our construction will include three layers of waterproofing, and at the same time, any place where solar energy is installed is guaranteed to be waterproof for 20 years.

  • I feel like there aren't many government incentives...

The preferential incentives offered by various county and city governments are different, but the main preferential treatment is still based on Taipower's bulk purchase rate. Taipower purchases electricity from us at NT$4.2 per kilowatt-hour and sells it to the public at NT$2.2 to NT$3.3.

  • Where will the cost of building and recycling solar panels for 20 years belong?

According to government regulations, a recycling fee of 1,000 yuan must be paid to the Environmental Protection Bureau in advance for every kw of solar panels installed. Self-built solar panel builders must pay for the removal themselves, just like building a house, and companies can contract for it.

  • Can't the rental percentage be higher? Is the one quoted by other companies higher?

We use first-class equipment, which is relatively expensive, but the equipment decay rate is also relatively low. Others use inferior equipment, which has a lower construction cost, but a higher equipment decay rate, which decays by 3% in 1 year and 9% in 3 years. The high decay rate directly affects the homeowner's income.

  • How to guarantee the equipment? (rental, self-built)

    1. For those who rent out their roofs, our company is responsible for the maintenance, cleaning, operation, and water leakage of the solar installation location (please refer to the contract for details). 2. For self-built units: You can sign a 20-year operation and maintenance contract (maintenance and repair) with our company, and pay our company 6% to 8% of the electricity sales amount each year. If the equipment is damaged in the future, there will be no additional charge. You can also entrust our company to clean the solar panels, the fee is 20 yuan per piece. If the site is too small, it will be charged per work (the actual quotation depends on the size of the site).
